Я дипломированный российский переводчик, также сертифицированный Американской ассоциацией переводчиков (American Translation Association), работаю на российском и американском рынках письменного и устного перевода. Время ожидания на устном переводе (stand-by time), то есть перерывы во время судебных заседаний, ожидание в аэропорту, в очередях у нотариуса начиная со времени начала выполнения заказа тоже является рабочим временем переводчика и оплачивается по такой же ставке. Как специалист, сдавший сертификационный экзамен Американской ассоциации переводчиков, для сохранения сертификации я обязан принимать участие в программах профессионального развития: конференциях, семинарах и вебинарах по вопросам перевода и (или) переводческой специализации.
